Two teenagers assaulted in Andover

Police are appealing for information after two teenagers were assaulted in Weyhill Road on Saturday, July 12 between 11 and 11.30pm.

An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old boy were walking along towards the town centre with a 15-year-old girl, close to the junction of Weyhill Road and Dennings Mead, when a medium-sized car drove past them. It was also travelling in the direction of the town centre.

The occupants of the vehicle, a white man and a black man aged 15-25 years, shouted something at the group before turning into Dennings Mead.

The occupants then got out of the vehicle and assaulted the two male members of the group. The 18-year-old sustained split lips and had two teeth knocked out. The 17-year-old sustained a cut above the eye, a black eye and a broken nose. Both were treated at Salisbury District Hospital for their injuries.
