Submitting an Article or News item PDF Print E-mail

If you are a budding reporter then you can post news and articles on this site.

To submit an article or news item you can enter the item yourself or you can email it to the editor ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) To enter the item yourself you will need to register as a member of the website.

We recommend that you write your article in word or a text programme and then go and submit the article by copying text and then pasting it into the submission form.  This prevents you losing an article half way through typing it if you take your time.

Once you have registered you will need to ensure that you have logged in.

When you are logged in you are able to see the User menu.  In this menu you will see the item for submitting an article or news item.  Please click on this menu item.

You are then taken to the article submission screen.

On this screen there are a number of drop down boxes and text boxes.  The first drop down menu is for you to select your category that you wish the article or news item to be published in.

Your name and email is automatically filled in from your registration.  (these are not published with your article).  Then you need to type in your article title.  Then you may upload an image for the intro text and for the main text.  Please ensure that the image is no larger than 250 x 250 pixels.

The next box is for your intro text.  This text is the text seen on the main page before a user clicks on the article to read it fully.  So this need text needs to attract users to want to read the article in more detail.

The next box is the main text box.  This is for the main text of the article.  Both the intro text and the main text have similar buttons and functions that you have in word or other similar document programs.  These functions are available by clicking on the relevant icon button.  A full description for each icon button is available from the Frequently Asked Questions item "I am trying to add an item and I do not know what the Icons can be used for".

If you have any problems submitting your article please contact us or remember you can submit the article via email.
